BOSTON — The 78th anniversary celebration of the Armenian Mirror-Spectator took place on Thursday, December 9, with the participation of long time supporters and friends, and was hosted by Kevork and Jacqueline Atinizian and family, at the Taj Hotel. The event raised $72,800 to benefit the newspaper.
The main speaker was ESPN baseball analyst Tim Kurkjian; both he and Wendy Semonian Eppich, publisher of the Improper Bostonian, received awards of excellence.
Barbara Tellalian, who again volunteered as the head of the celebration committee, dedicated six months to help the newspaper as a tribute to her father, the founding editor of the newspaper, Elisha Chrakian.
A report and several pages of photos will appear in the January 1, 2011 issue.
