CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Erevan Choral Society of the Holy Trinity Armenian Church will present a Genocide Centennial Concert, “Lest We Forget,” on Sunday, April 19, at 2:30 p.m., in the church sanctuary. The Erevan Choral Society, under the direction of composer Konstantin Petrossian, will present a befitting program that will include Armenian memorial, folk and patriotic songs.

To prepare for this commemorative event, all present and former members of the Erevan Choral Society are invited to rehearsals that are held every Thursday at 7:30 p.m., in the Charles and Nevart Talanian Cultural Hall of Holy Trinity Armenian Church at 145 Brattle Street in Cambridge.  New members are warmly welcome to join.  For more information, please contact the church office at 617.354.0632, or Petrossian at 401.523.6919.

“We invite the Armenian and non-Armenian community to join us on Sunday, April 19,” stated Fr. Vasken Kouzouian, pastor of Holy Trinity Armenian Church, “as we commemorate through music this dark period in Armenian history and, also, the resilient and courageous spirit of our people.” The concert is a gift to the community, but those interested in supporting the Erevan Choral Society may make contributions to Holy Trinity Armenian Church.
