GROTON (Lowell Sun) – Westford native Alyna Baharozian, a senior basketball player at the Groton School, recently scored her 1,000th career point in a game vs. Milton.

Baharozian is a three-year captain for Groton’s girls basketball team and is a four-time NEPSAC All-Star as well as a three-time All-Independent School League selection.

She will be attending Middlebury College next year where she will continue her basketball career.

Two years ago a last-second, game-winning shot by Baharozian was featured as a Top-10 play on ESPN’s SportsCenter broadcast and the video went viral. Last week, Baharozian duplicated the feat, hitting a late hoop against the same team, Groton’s arch-rival St. Mark’s, to win the game for the Zebras.
