Hasan Jemal Sentenced to Prison

ISTANBUL (Armenpress) — Jemal Pasha’s grandson Hasan Jemal, a Turkish reporter who has recognized the Armenian Genocide, has been sentenced to 1 year and 3 months’ imprisonment for writing an article about Fehman Husseyn, one of the leaders of the PKK, Hurriyet reports.

The court found him guilty for “propaganda for a terrorist group.” Jemal denied the charges, saying his action is not a crime. The court decided to suspend the sentence.
