Armenian Students Win Three Medals at 54th International Physics Olympiad

ISFAHAN, Iran (Public Radio of Armenia) — Armenian students have won three bronze medals at the 54th International Physics Olympiad.

The Olympiad, held on July 21-29 in Isfahan, featured 197 representatives from 46 countries.

Arsen Aghayan (12th grade) and Narek Galstyan (11th grade) from the PhysMath Special School, and 12th grade student from the high school of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia won bronze medals, while Narek Movsisyan (12th grade, PhysMath Special School) and Armen Gazazyan (12th grade, high school of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia) received letters of commendation.

The team was led by Bilor Kurghinyan and Mekhak Hayrapetyan, teachers of the special physics school after A. Shahinyan, and Alfred Petrosyan, a physics teacher at the high school of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Alfred Petrosyan also participated as an observer.

The Armenian team had won 1 silver and 4 bronze medals at the 53rd International Physics Olympiad held in Japan.
