KOLKATA, India (Hetq) — On December 30, 2009, Very Rev. Khoren Hovhannisyan, pastor of the Armenians in India and the manager of the Armenian College & Philanthropic Academy, accompanied by a group of students of the college, rang in the New Year celebrations by visiting the Armenian Catchick Paul Chater Home.

The old age home has 13 residents who were grateful for the much-needed love and attention they got from the students who sang for them. They also distributed presents to the residents.

The pastor wished them a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas and assured them that the Armenian college students, Church Committee members and he would do their very best to be there for them.

“Your grey hair is testimony to the difficulties you have faced in life and so we must honor it through our love and attention. I come to you not only as a pastor but also as a son and thereby I shall always stand by you,” Hovhannisyan said.
