PATTAYA, Thailand (Panorama.am) — Armenian weightlifter Hakob Mkrtchyan competing in the 89-kilogram weight category won gold on September 23 at the World Weightlifting Championships here. Mkrtchyan was named champion with a total of 360 kilograms.
The championship is a qualifying event for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
