PROVIDENCE — The Cultural Committee of Sts. Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church in Providence, Rhode Island, hosted a dinner-dance on October 24, celebrating the first anniversary of Reverend Father Sevak Gabrielyan’s service as the church’s priest.

Held at the Egavian Cultural Center, the special occasion brought together parishioners, family members, and friends for an evening of fellowship, delicious food, music, and dancing in honor of this deeply meaningful milestone.

The evening began with a welcoming toast delivered by Eric Stickler,  the chairman of the Parish Council, followed by dinner and dancing. Guests enjoyed live entertainment by a talented Armenian band. Their music added a vibrant touch to the celebration, reflecting the rich musical heritage of the Armenian community.

As part of the evening’s program, several welcome letters were received and read aloud, including messages from the Primate of the Eastern Diocese, Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, the church’s parish council, and fellow clergy. These messages conveyed warm wishes and support for Der Sevak as he marked his first anniversary.

The celebration also recognized the importance of family in Der Sevak’s life and ministry. Joining him in this milestone were his wife and their three children, whose presence made the occasion especially meaningful.
