Strongly condemning the massacres and violence against the Yezidi people, the catholicos expressed confidence that the Yezidi people, which has an ancient history, will endure and surmount the challenge it is now facing. Karekin II also called on the international community and organizations to take immediate steps to stop the massacres of Yezidis in Iraq.
