YEREVAN (Armenpress) — US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills announced on October 9 that there will be an increase in assistance provided to Armenia by the US.
The US has provided an extra $14 million for supporting Armenian initiatives connected with political changes, while during the upcoming year the US plans to provide $26 million, which is $20 million more compared to previous totals.
These funds will support programs rather than political processes, including civil society and the independent media.
