Lida Asilyan is a senior English and Communications student at the American University of Armenia, coming from Tavush, Armenia. She is passionate about journalism, oral history, and capturing stories from Artsakh and other borderline communities in Armenia. Besides writing, Lida is interested in Human Rights and Genocide Studies, volunteering for organizations like Rerooted Archive and Center for Truth and Justice, interpreting and translating testimonials of Armenians who have faced war, displacement, and genocide. Looking ahead, she plans to pursue her Master's and PhD in International Education Development and Education Policies, fueled by her love for teaching and empowering youth.
