Armenian Museum of America to Host Virtual Christmas Concert with Yerevan State Chamber Choir
December 13, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 2:30 pmFree
Join us Sunday, December 13 for the second in our Online Concert Series, sponsored by the Dadourian Foundation. Like so many cultural institutions, the Museum has been focusing on virtual programming during the COVID-19 shutdown. While we are unable to welcome the public into our galleries for concerts as we have in the past, we still are committed to providing cultural programming by whatever means we can.
This month we are featuring a holiday concert recorded exclusively for the Armenian Museum! Recorded in Armenia, we are honored to “host” the Yerevan State Chamber Choir, founded by the late Harutyun Topikyan, and recognized as one of the most distinguished ensembles in Armenia. The performance was led by Kristina Voskanyan, chief choirmaster and William Weiner, choir director. A special thank you to Maestro Konstantin Petrossian for curating this series, and to the continued support of the Dadourian Foundation, without which we would be unable to bring you this wonderful concert.
The concert will air at 2:00 pm EST on Sunday, December 13 on the Museum YouTube channel, and links to the video will also be shared on our Facebook page and website. Join our Facebook event page for updates and set your calendar reminders and take some time to celebrate this Christmas season with the Armenian Museum.
