Gerald Papasian, actor/director, is a graduate of the State Fine & Dramatic Arts Institute of Armenia. Cosmopolitan and multilingual, Papasian works in Armenia, France, the UK, USA and Canada. He has translated and adapted numerous plays and operas for major opera companies and theatres. Besides his international career, he is known for having translated Armenian works for non-Armenian audiences; the opera "Anoush" at the Detroit Opera, Tchouhadjian's "Gariné" in France, Armenia and the UK, the award-winning "Sojourn at Ararat" on 5 continents, Baronian’s "Eastern Dentist." Recently, he stared in the International Emmy award-winning TV series "Braquo." He can be seen on Netflix in the French TV series "A Very Secret Service." He is an Honorary Member of the National Theatre of Armenia since 1992 and is the recipient of Drama-Logue Critics' Awards twice (L.A.), and best Actor awards by the Cinematographers' and Theatre Unions of Armenia. He is awarded the Ministry of Culture of Armenia's Gold Medal and the Movses Khorenatsi presidential medal. Papasian resides in Paris, France, where he is the director of the Dikran Tchouhadjian International
Institute and makes long sojourns in Yerevan Armenia where he works as director in several state theatres, teaches at the Theatre and Film Institute and is drama coach at the Yerevan opera’s youth program. https://internews.info/gerald-papasian/
