Two Armenian documentaries will be airing on PBS station KTWU in the Topeka, Kansas area on Sunday, March 14. “100 Years from Home,” follows one woman’s search for the house her ancestors were forced to abandon during the Armenian Genocide a century ago, and the weight of Turkey’s subsequent denial, and features interviews with luminaries such as the Bay Area’s Raffi Krikorian, former VP at Twitter, and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. “What Will Become of Us,” airing directly after, explores the lasting impact on the descendants of survivors living in the diaspora. These issues have been thrust back into the headlines in light of the recent war that broke out between Azerbaijan and the Armenians of Artsakh at the end of 2020.
