VELVET REVOLUTION DECONSTRUCTED: Discussion with Journalist/Author Tatul Hakobyan

Join conflict specialist Tatul Hakobyan for an insightful presentation on the events leading up to April’s mass protests as well as critical developments since the formation of the new government, including its impact on Armenia’s foreign policy challenges.  The presentation will be in English.

Since 2009, Tatul Hakobyan has been an analyst at the Civilitas Foundation and its online CivilNet broadcasts.  He is also the coordinator of the ANI Armenian Research Center, which studies contemporary Armenian issues.

Hakobyan’s latest publications, in Armenian, featuring icons from the First Republic will be available. They include Alexander Khatisyan, Hovhannes Kajaznuni, Simon Vratsyan, Ruben Ter-Minasyan, and Stepan Sapah-Gulian.  Previously authored works Karabakh Diary: Green and Black and Armenians and Turks, both in English, will also be available.

A reception will follow the discussion and book signing.
