YEREVAN (Armenpress) — Armenian National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan received US Rep. Abraham Hamadeh (R-Arizona) on August 18.
According to the National Assembly’s Public Relations and Communication Department, the two sides discussed issues related to deepening Armenia-US interparliamentary cooperation.
The sides also discussed recent developments in the region. They stressed the importance of unblocking all transport routes in the South Caucasus, including the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
The importance of addressing humanitarian issues and taking the necessary steps in this direction was also emphasized. The sides exchanged views on expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Hamadeh later in the day.
Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the consistent development of Armenia–U.S. relations, noting that ties between the two countries have recently gained momentum, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.
