According to the source, Arsen Petrosyan was killed in the neighborhood of Zuhur during an attack by Islamic State forces a few weeks ago. A sudden attack by the terrorist group forced Syrian defense forces to retreat. Petrosyan’s body was left behind and retrieved after the liberation of Al-Hasakeh.
Petrosyan had reportedly joined the Syrian National Defense Forces.
According to the United Nations, the war in Syria has killed more than 220,000 people over the last four years, including more than 100 Armenians.
